➙Just like you look after your physical health, counselling helps to support your mental health! Counselling can be highly effective in working on mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, and trauma. It provides individuals with tools and techniques to manage symptoms, improve resilience, and promote overall mental well-being.
➙ Self-awareness and personal growth: Through counselling, individuals can gain deeper insights into themselves, their thoughts, emotions, behaviours, values, and their goals.
➙Counselling helps you to work on your problems in a positive and constructive way.
How?
By helping you to clarify the issues, explore options, develop strategies and increase self- awareness.
➙For some, just the process of telling their story to a counsellor; being listened to & feeling heard, is helpful.
➙It's confidential This means you can share openly and honestly and know it stays between you and your counsellor*.
Counselling focuses on long-term well-being by addressing underlying issues and promoting lasting change. It helps individuals develop resilience, emotional intelligence, and self-care practices that contribute to their overall mental health.
*The exception is when a counsellor has a duty of care to report something that threatens your wellbeing or the wellbeing of others. This legal requirement will be explained to you in your first counselling session.
